What we can do
for you
Search for content on
all of the JISC services websites At its heart, JISCmail is an
information resource containing a wealth of academic
Intellect and is a key tool for disseminating knowledge,
experience, fostering collaboration and sharing good practice across the UK
and Global academic communities.
It can help you in a number of ways. You can use the:
-
survey facility to extract and evaluate
feedback from list members; using results to support funding
cases, to demonstrate best practice and find common areas of
interest
-
mail facility to exchange ideas and
information with other list members despite being geographically
dispersed and also reduce the risk of viruses and unsolicited e-mail
(SPAM)
-
document and image repository to maintain
and share relevant information across the academic and
research-based communities and also reduce network bandwidth and the
risk of losing valuable data
-
discussion rooms facility where members can come
together for short periods to exchange ideas or draw conclusions
where face-to-face meetings using video or
tele-conferencing are impractical
-
message archives as a source of valuable
information. These message archives are available either through
e-mail or the web, and can be searched and sorted by list
members to meet specific needs
-
search facilities to locate historic or
current background information relating to your latest project
JISCmail offers a Helpdesk service to assist you with any

is too trivial for our dedicated team who are always happy to receive
