A key element of the JISC Services Strategy is the provision of Advice and Support to the community JISC provides a range of Advisory Services, dedicated to supporting the further and higher education communities in the innovative use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) - whether it is continuing professional development, advice on new build programmes, use of mobile learning or disability equality schemes (to name but a few).

The JISC Advisory Services are unique and with no commercial equivalents. Working closely with the JISC Regional Support Centres, they provide the UK further and higher education (FE and HE) sectors with the expertise, independent advice, guidance and resources required to enable effective and innovative uses of ICT. JISC Advisory Services provide focused advice and support to the community on a wide range of issues which institutions face on a daily basis. Staffed by experts in their fields, the services are dedicated to the dissemination of good practice, and can also provide help and support which is tailored to institutions' specific ICT requirement.
The JISC Services Company
JISC infoNet, JISC Legal, JISC TechDis, JISC Netskills, JISC Procureweb and TASI (soon to be JISC Digitial Media) are joining together to create JISC Services FAQsJISC and the Advisory Services have been examining ways to be more agile and flexible to respond to the changing needs and demands of the further and higher education communities. The outcome of this review is the formation of a new company called JISC Services. JISC infoNet, JISC Legal, JISC TechDis, JISC Netskills, JISC Procureweb and TASI (soon to be JISC Digital Media) are coming together to create JISC Services which will formally come into existence on 1 August 2009.
The aim of the new company is to create a more flexible and comprehensive source of advice and support, with increased opportunities to address new and changing needs across the community. This change is designed to ensure that JISC's services continue to offer the internationally-acclaimed advice and support for which they are renowned. Putting the further and higher education communities at the centre of what we do will be strengthened by working together as one company to deliver expertise and advice. Over the next few months the services will increasingly join together at events, on projects and in producing resources.

| Technical Advisory Service for Images (TASI) soon to be known as JISC Digital Media, provides advice, guidance and training on the creation and use of digital media collections for learning, teaching and research. Digital media covers still images, moving images and sound resources. |

| JISC TechDis has resources, materials and techniques, coupled with advice and guidance to assist practitioners and managers to provide an accessible and inclusive experience for students and staff. TechDis can help all post-16 providers who are concerned with supporting diverse learner need to make technologies for innovative personalised teaching and learning part of their solution. |
