Start date: 1 December 1998

End date: 30 April 2001

Funding programme: JISC Organisational Support programme

Project website: http://www.shu.ac.uk/cnl/

Originally intended to be a six month project to look at the hidden costs of developing and supporting networked learning such as unrecorded academic staff time and increased demands on technical support, this has now been extended to run through AY 2000/01. The Costs of Networked Learning (CNL) - Phase Two - builds upon the CNL work published by the team at Sheffield Hallam University in October 1999. The aim of this second phase is to take the theoretical framework arrived at during the first phase and develop it into a practical handbook.
