Introduction

The project will produce a toolkit including templates, a database structure and a training programme which will enable FE colleges to bring a coherent approach to the management and preservation of digital assets.

The toolkit will be based on tested practice focussing on curricular documents in an FE college and based on the expertise of the Centre for Digital Library Research and the Scottish Library and Information Council.

The project will bring a practical FE perspective to the Digital Preservation and Records Management Programme and contribute a toolkit for adaptation by FE colleges which could also be scaled up to use in HE institutions.

The Project has now completed and the final report is available.
