The AMIE project is aimed principally at providing experience in attribute assignment and management in a cross-institutional context, over its three-year lifetime.

The activities will include:

  • Implement a Shibboleth handle service (with an authentication and attribute authority component) for the University of Edinburgh, to create a pool of Shibboleth-enabled users.
  • Work with other Universities, which collaborative agreements already exist, to explore the practical problems of cross-institutional authorisation.
