WS-GAF : The Web Services Grid Application Framework

There has been a lot of discussion in the community concerning the relationship between Web Services and the Grid. The Web Services Grid Application Framework (WS-GAF) is a proposal on how Grid applications could be built using existing Web Services specifications.

The first of the two applications being implemented using existing Web Services tooling and specifications utilises the SkyServer virtual observatory and distributed computational resources in order to locate White Dwarfs in our galaxy.

This work is the result of the collaboration between the North-East Regional e-Science Centre (NEReSC) and Arjuna Technologies.
