The e-learning programme's consultation strategy will focus on developing a network of representatives in a range of existing communities. These individuals will have formal or informal roles as information brokers in their respective communities of practice. So they will be able to champion the programme to their communities, as well as represent their communities to JISC.
In addition, a number of 'expert' consultants will be approached on an individual basis. The programme's activities will need to be intrinsically relevant to these individuals' own interests if they are to invest time in discussion and consultation. There will be a degree of overlap between this 'expert' group and the 'representative' group, and the level of involvement from individuals will be, to some extent, self-selected.
