Background / Context

The availability of colleagues, teams, resources is difficult to resolve when spanning organisations or in some organisations when spanning depts. Sorting information by date is very helpful, planning and many other activities need time bases records.

Aims and Objectives

The scope for aggregated calendaring information is wide, so this project aims to provide a focus on a pluggable  middle man / aggregator solution with sample plug-ins and agents to gather and provide views of individual or group information as calendar information.

The specific objectives are to:

  • Early release of software as an open source project [within project initial dev cycle]
  • Early prototype for project partners to feedback specific use case requirements
  • Gather further use case based requirements from a wider OSS community

Project Methodology

Software developed iteratively following Extreme Programming, product developed with a focus on the pick of some open source maturity models.
