The JISC Scholarly Communications Group (SCG) wishes to commission some research to scope issues relating to quality-control measures within the scholarly communications process. In particular the study should focus on new forms of quality-control for traditional publications and also on new forms of scholarly output in an electronic format, such as data or multi-media research or teaching publications.

The JISC Scholarly Communications Group (SCG) wishes to commission some research to scope issues relating to quality-control measures within the scholarly communications process. In particular the study should focus on new forms of quality-control for traditional publications and also on new forms of scholarly output in an electronic format, such as data or multi-media research or teaching publications.

Total funding of £30,000 is available for this work, inclusive of VAT and all expenses. The work should begin on 1 September 2008 and be complete by 30 November 2008.

The deadline for proposals is 12:00 noon on 8 August 2008. You are invited to submit a project outline with time-lines to meet the terms of reference set out below.
