Terms of reference

  • work with the JISC and the NSF in overseeing the 4 Digital Libraries in the Classroom projects, with particular reference to the broad aims of the Programme, the JISC Information Environment and NSF DLI requirements
  • help ensure that links between projects and themes emanating from them are identified and fed into the overall running of the programme
  • offer advice on the direction of individual projects via the JISC and NSF where necessary
  • help identify synergies between projects
  • offer advice on developing practices and standards that projects, the JISC and NSF should be aware of to take the programme to successful completion
  • raise the profile of the programme within members’own sphere of influence. To identify opportunities for dissemination at international events within which projects might participate
  • advise on issues of embedding and take up of project and programme outputs within the wider educational community
  • take an active role in evaluation of the programme and projects by means of a 'buddying' approach
  • be aware of the progress of projects through the regular review of project reports and by participating in project visits. To raise concerns and make suggestions as to how any challenges might be addressed
  • advise on additional areas of work that could enhance the objectives of the programme as well as recommendations for future work in the outgoing years. To offer advice on the scoping of this work
  • identify synergies with developments and organisations both outside and within the JISC and NSF communities
